The Advent Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to any Advent member attending a Lutheran Seminary for the purpose of being ordained. $2000.00 is given per year (2 semesters.)  This is a four year commitment including three years of seminary classes and a year of internship.  Currently we are supporting seminarians at Wartburg (Des Moines, Iowa) and Gettysburg (Gettysburg, PA.)

In addition, Advent Scholarship are available to any Advent high school graduate who is enrolled full time in a Lutheran College.  This support is $500/semester ($1000 per school year.)  Currently we are supporting students at Bethany College (Lindsborg, Kansas;) Midland College (Fremont, Nebraska;) and Augustana College (Sioux Falls, South Dakota.)

How one can get involved?- Attend the Annual Dessert Theatre held each year, or donate directly to the fund (place “scholarship” in your check memo).  Members are also encouraged to plan money making projects for this purpose and recruit members to participate.  Attend a Lutheran college or seminary and apply for a scholarship.  Forms are available from Winola Green and the deadline for submission is July 31st.
