We have been an internship site for the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg since 2004.
Rev. Betty Landis (2004-05) now serves St. Paul Lutheran Church in Evanston, IL
Rev. David Ludwick (2008-09) now serves St. Andrew's Lutheran in Blytheswood, S.C.
Rev. Katie Brantner (2006-07) now serves at Trinity in Mount Joy, PA
Rev. Joel Neubauer (2005-06) most recently served at Christ Lutheran Church in Middletown, CT
Rev. Anteneh Gebreselassie (2009-2010) now serves at Resurrection Lutheran in Arlington, VA.
In addition, in 2009-10 Pastor Roger supervised a "detached site" intern, Scott Piper, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Butler, MO, Scott graduated from Wartburg Seminary and now serves at Grace English Lutheran in Berlin, WI. Pastor Susan served as a TEEM mentor for Dinah Dutta,who now serves St. John's in Atchison, Kansas.
Advent has also been blessed to be the home congregation for (in order of ordination:) David Whetter, pastor of Salem Lutheran Church in Lenexa, KS; Rev. Ted Mosher, pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran in Lawrence, KS; and Rev. Brenda Crossfield, pastor of Faith Lutheran Church in Prairie Village, KS. Rev. Janice Hawley, pastor developer of Hillside Community Lutheran Church in Spring Hill, Kansas.
