Dessert Theatre
"Dessert Theatre" is the primary fundraising event for Advent's Scholarship Fund. During the evening, members of the Advent Chancel Choir (as well as other talented folks from the congregation) perform popular music from stage, screen and airwaves in this fun evening of music and comedy which concludes with dessert and coffee served to you in a lovely, candlelit setting.
In the 2010-2011 school year, we will be supporting four students, one seminarian and three collegians who are enrolled in Lutheran institutions of higher learning:
- Janice Hawley, Senior at Wartburg Theological Seminary, in Dubuque IA;
- Brent Fales, Senior at Bethany College in Lindsborg, KS;
- Beth Russell, Junior at Midland College, in Fremont, NE.
- Mike Metcalfe, Freshman at Bethany College in Lindsborg, KS
- Kara Bartels, Freshman at Augustana College in Souix Falls, SD
We guarantee there will be musical surprises in store for you at this year's Dessert Theatre. All proceeds benefit Advent's Scholarship Fund. Remember, contributions may be made year-round through Advent. Simply make your check payable to Advent and note "Scholarships" on the memo line. No reservations are required for this event.
