Angels of Comfort - a Prayer Shawl Ministry
The prayer shawl ministry is one of communal support. At Advent, ours are created mainly by knitters or those who crochet. but they can be created out of almost any material. They are created with prayers and then given away with prayers. Our shawls are given for many reasons: as a welcome gift, for those who are facing challenges; expecting the birth of a child; battling illness, for those serving as caregivers; for those who are moving, or for those who are just in need of extra comfort. Many recipients have commented that the prayer shawls have given them great comfort. We also knit or crochet things for Global Health Ministries such as baby caps or baby blankets.

How can one get involved? Everyone is welcome. No experience is necessary; we can teach you to knit or crochet.
